Explore Raja Ampat

Dive into Raja Ampat; one of the world’s top diving destinations in the heart of the Coral Triangle.

Sept 2025 to April 2026 - Oct 2026 to April 2027

Dawn in Raja Ampat feels untouched. Limestone islets rise out of a glassy sea, their forests alive with the calls of tropical birds. The air is warm and still, filled only with the sounds of nature. On the sundeck, a slow yoga session eases the body awake while the dive dhoni readies itself nearby.

That first dive sets the tone for the day. Coral towers stretch upward, covered in anthias and fusiliers, while trevallies sweep through in schools. Manta rays circle at cleaning stations, wobbegong sharks rest beneath ledges, and tiny pygmy seahorses hide among swaying sea fans. Every descent reveals something new, something alive.

Between dives, there is time to paddle across calm lagoons, hike to witness some of the greatest viewpoint Indonesia has to offer, or drift quietly in a kayak as the light shifts over the water. Exploring Misool or the Dampier Strait aboard Scubaspa Zen means more than checking off famous sites; it’s about moving at nature’s pace and experiencing Raja Ampat the way it was meant to be.

Raja Ampat, Marine National Park

Raja Ampat National Park is often called the crown jewel of Indonesia’s diving.

Tucked away in West Papua and sitting at the heart of the Coral Triangle, this remote archipelago is made up of over 1,500 islands, including its four “kings”: Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo. Protected as a marine park since 2004, it is celebrated as one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Beyond the reefs, limestone cliffs hide ancient rock paintings estimated to be between 3,000 and 5,000 years old - reminders that people have called these islands home for millennia. Above the water, the calls of hornbills and the famous bird of paradise, makes Raja Ampat a true paradise for both nature and culture lovers.

Top Dive Sites in Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat is home to some of the most iconic dive sites in the world. From the coral gardens of Melissa’s Garden to the manta cleaning stations of Magic Mountain, each site offers its own spectacle of life and color. Walls draped in sea fans, reefs exploding with anthias, and dramatic underwater pinnacles showcase why this region is considered the epicenter of marine biodiversity. Diving here means never repeating the same experience twice; every site has its own surprises, and together they form the heart of what makes Raja Ampat legendary among divers.

Blue Magic - Dampier Strait

A pinnacle reef rising from 30 meters to just 8 meters below the surface, Blue Magic is a vibrant hotspot in the Dampier Strait where every glance is filled with movement, color, and life. Hello the chance to be close with oceanic manta rays!

Melissa’s Garden - Penemu

A lively coral garden bursting with hard corals and clouds of colorful anthias, and reef fish - one of the most picturesque shallow dives in Raja Ampat.

Magic Mountain - Misool

Four Kings - Misool

Four towering pinnacles rise from the depths, covered in corals and swarming with life, creating the feeling of diving through an underwater cathedral. Great spot for oceanic manta rays sightings.
